Basmati A very long grained aromatic rice native to and grown in India and Pakistan. It has a fragrant flavour and aroma and is the rice used in Indian dishes such as Biryani and Pilau rice. Brown basmati and easy-cook basmati are also available. Americans have cultivated a version that has adapted to the soil conditions and climate of the U.S.A. |
